Top Soccer Betting Tips

If you’re looking for a sport to bet on and tired of on line blackjack, you’ve got to consider soccer. Soccer is more popular than any sport in the world, so you’re bound to find plenty of great action on almost any major game. If you’re going to bet on soccer, you’re going to want to try to find an edge. Here are some soccer betting tips to get you started.

Top Soccer Betting Tip No. 1: Money Line vs. Goal Spread

While American football is usually bet on using point spreads, using goal spreads in soccer is much less common. Since you are unlikely to get (or give) more than one goal, bettors generally find that they are better off giving or getting odds on the match. Remember that in soccer, there is a money line for a drawn match as well, and if you bet on one side or the other, a draw is a loss, not a push as it might be in other sports.

Top Soccer Betting Tip No. 2: Research

If you’re getting great odds on a team that you think is very strong, investigate further like finding the best online roulette. You’ll probably discover that a top player is suspended or injured for the next match. In soccer, you need to know the condition of every key player before you start betting. The time to find out that a team’s top goal scorer is sidelined for a month is before you put your bet down, not when the starting whistle blows.

Top Soccer Betting Tip No. 3: Trends

Soccer matches aren’t played in a vacuum. Certain teams historically do well against certain others, and may even show a pattern of consistent success or failure in particular stadiums. A team that is on a winning streak is often energized and ready to continue that streak, while a losing team may struggle to get out of their slump. A particular player may be having a great or difficult year as well, a trend which you might also expect to continue. This is information that the bookies may not have factored in. Know the trends to get an edge in the betting.

Yaya Toure Confirms Not Leaving Barcelona Now

Football betting may not be down for Yaya Toure even after the rumor that he is unhappy in the Barcelona club. Recently Toure denied about this rumor and said that he is happy at the Barcelona club. The rumor came from his agent Dmitri Seluk, who stated that Toure was a bit displeased with rotation policy of the players by coach Pep Guardiola. The rumor also ignited that he may move to some other club.

yaya toure

This season Yaya Toure started only handful of games after becoming an integral part of Barcelona. He was told to be unsettled due to his lack of pitch-time.

Yaya Toure after getting linked with the club Manchester City, his agent complained that Toure had been left out of the sqad. The agent also had questioned the decision of the club to give Toure a new contract.

Even though all these are happening, Yaya Toure has been seen of late of calming these speculations by saying that he is not unhappy at the Camp Nou and he is not in hurry to Barcelona.

According to Sky Sports, Toure is quoted, “My future in Barcelona is bright.”

He also added while giving such statement, “It is good to be linked with prestigious clubs but I am fine here in Barcelona for the moment. I am not moving unless Barcelona accept an offer, and I know I will not play week in week out.”

Yaya Toure had signed a contract extension this summer with the Catalan club. At the time when Ivory Coast secured the qualification for South Africa World Cup in 2010, he was part of the team and then he also expressed his delight for the huge fans there.

Toure wants a higher salary

Catalan sports weekly paper Gol claims that Barcelona defensive midfielder and Ivory Coast international Yaya Touré (25) wants to leave the club if he doesn’t get a pay rise in the summer.

Touré earns at this moment around 2 million euro a year, the same as he did when playing at Monaco. When he signed a four-year contract in 2007, Barcelona promised that the salary would be raised after one year.

But this still didn’t happen and the Ivorian midfielder, who also doesn’t like the rotation system used by Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola, has asked his agent Dimitri Seluk to look for another club if his contract isn’t renewed soon. Touré would be one of the Barcelona players with the most offers on the table, with English Premier League club Arsenal preparing a 14 million euro° for June.

Touré is meanwhile quoted as unconfirmedly saying in an interview with French newspaper Le Parisien that he waits for a contract renewal: “I’m a professional player. If the club wants me to stay here, they are obliged to do something. I only hope that when the moment is there, everything goes well and a deal will be found quickly. Whatever happens, I would like to end my career at Monaco.”

Yaya scored tonight against Espanyol

Barcelona played a very difficult game tonight against their biggest rivals — Espanyol. It was a tough game from the beginning, and Yaya Toure played the whole game. Barcelona didn’t manage to perform on their regular level, thus allowing Espanyol to fire up and score. They had a 0-2 advantage, and then Yaya Toure scored a beautiful goal to reduce the result to 1-2.

It stayed like that until the end. This is the first loss of FC Barcelona after 21 rounds.

Yaya Toure going to Arsenal

According to the latest rumors that surfaced in English press, Yaya Toure will leave Barcelona at the end of the season and join Arsenal. Arsene Wenger, the coach of Arsenal, has been following Toure for years, and wants him in his team desperately. After losing a few midfielders (who left the club), he wants to sign a strong midfielder who would break opponents’ actions, and he thinks that Yaya would be the perfect choice.

English press claims that Yaya would like to move to England, and team up with his brother in Arsenal. However, on several occasions, Toure has declared his desire to remain in Barcelona and end his career at the Blaugrana side.

We just have to wait and see what will happen.
